Since I don't know erlang and I don't really have time to learn I think I'll try my hand at the finetuning thing. I can probably get work to give me leeway for "learing AI" :)

I found utilizing one LLM to create code and another to validate works pretty well. It saves me thinking time for small things. But, yes, none of them are "great." Thus the finetuning required.
