my fax to emails are failing. I get an email saying "xxx-xxx-xxxx tried to send a fax document to your faxbox xxxxxx's Main Faxbox, but unfortunately it was unsuccessful." with "Error Reason: The call dropped prematurely"

how would i go about troubleshooting?

email to fax or fax to email? usually call dropped prematurely is bad t38 negotiation or someone accidentally called a fax number and hung up... best way to debug is through freeswitch

ah, yeah, i'd start with checking your spandsp.conf.xml config, specifically enable-t38 and enable-t38-request (going to vary based on your carrier's ability to handle t38), then check fs logs
