08:38:49 Hello, 08:38:49 I'am upgrading omnios from r151038-LTS to r151046-LTS stepwise as recommended on the website. But, i'am stock at r151042. The next upgrade to r151044 causes me a segmentation fault with the command pkg set-publisher -r -O https://pkg.omniosce.org/r151044/core omnios as well any other pkg command. According to the release notes the format of the IPS 08:38:50 repo was changed. How can fix it to proceed with the update? 08:44:46 Hm. The upgrade table at https://omnios.org/upgrade says that direct upgrades from r38 to r46 are supported 08:50:16 Yes, try to pkg update-format. no change. unset the publsiher. now i'am no longer able to set a new publisher 08:57:41 Direct upgrade from r38 to r46 is definitely supported. You shouldn't have to do anything because of the repository format change, that's really an internal optimisation. 08:58:20 What state are you currently in? Can you go back to the old boot environment (BE) that was r38? 09:01:50 actually i'am in r151042 running. yes, i cango back to 151040 or 151038-LTS with BE 09:02:40 I would be interested in any core file produced by the segmentation fault too, if you are willing to share it. I haven't seen that happen before. 09:03:22 I would go back to r38, make sure it's up to date, then try and update directly to r46 from there. 09:05:06 There is a core present. About 90 MB. how can i shaer it with you ? 09:06:26 i will save the core and proceed as you recommended 09:06:47 It should compress pretty well, can you upload it to somewhere like https://paste.ec ? 09:06:53 anyone here have sfe network? 09:13:52 tsoome, Secure Function Evaluation ? Not me 09:14:48 no, this one: 09:14:48 tsoome@beastie:/code/illumos-gate$ grep sfe /etc/driver_aliases 09:14:48 sfe "pci100b,20" 09:14:48 sfe "pci1039,900" 09:20:35 tsoome, 16. Jun 2023, at 04:50, Raul Penalo might have, (pci1025,83 (pci1039,900) [Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] SiS900 PCI Fast Ethernet], instance #0 (driver name: sfe) on illumos-developer 16:09:55 Yes, I did just receive a sfe binary from tsoome and will be doing tests as soon as possible. Thanks everybody! 16:10:25 that is good;) 17:43:54 rpenalo: Thanks for doing that. 19:09:58 Thank you rpenalo 20:24:47 You're welcome. Thanks to all of you for your great work on illumos.
